We stayed at a wonderful holiday rental in Matfen. It was perfect for our large family of 9 adults attending a wedding in Newcastle and reception at a nearby hall. the house was warm, comfortable, and had excellent beds and bathrooms. the well-equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to cook a hearty breakfast for everyone. the location was peaceful with gorgeous views, and the cottage was superbly decorated. There were activities for all ages, and the owner provided plenty of useful information. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect for our group of 9 adults. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and made it enjoyable to cook breakfast for everyone. The location was amazing, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere.

One small downside was the lack of larger Pyrex dishes for cooking. it was a bit chilly upstairs, but extra heaters were provided upon request.

The property was well-maintained and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the house were breathtaking, allowing us to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The welcome pack with homemade goodies was a lovely touch that made us feel at home. the location was convenient, with various activities and beautiful walking spots nearby.

Although it was a minor issue, we found it a bit challenging to adjust the heating, as it got a little too warm at times. However, this did not significantly impact our overall experience, and we would definitely consider staying again in the future.
